This summer, The Oxford Institute will be conducting a Summer Program in Oxford followed by a week in London – and welcome students from around the world to the wonderful and renowned London School of Economics, in the heart of London. Initially, the students will join the program in University of Oxford for a week and then move to Central London to continue the summer program for another week. The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) is regarded as an international centre of academic excellence and innovation. LSE was founded in 1895 and joined the University of London in 1900. The School regularly attracts leading public figures to give lectures, attend seminars and consult staff. The School’s academic profile spans a broad range of social sciences and is renowned for studying real world issues, from economics, politics and law to sociology, anthropology, accounting and finance.
The Bankside House at LSE is located in the historic borough of Southwark on the Thames’ South Bank. A walk along the river will take you to the London Eye, the Houses of Parliament, St Paul’s Cathedral, the Tate Modern and the South Bank Arts Centre, as well as the famous Borough Market.
This outstanding location is fully equipped with modern facilities and hosts a thriving, world-leading academic community to this day.
It’s also situated right next to a wealth of top London attractions, all within walking distance or just a few tube stops away.
To experience the best of British culture in London, our program will include activities and excursions to some of the most exciting and important sites in Britain. From visiting Buckingham Palace, guided tours of the nearby museums to strolling through the extensive Royal Parks- you’ll be given plenty of time and guidance to explore all that London has to offer even on your own!
You’ll also take part in some fun and engaging activities leading to increased interaction with the team and your camp fellows. Our team will try to show you parts of London, hidden from the plain view! After a day of classes and socials, you can get to know your peers over a game of football or dinner in one of London’s popular restaurants. Stay assured that you will be immersed in London life.
As a part of this program, students will experience studying in the two best academic institutions of UK with excellent guidance making it the most memorable and enriching experience!
